After having an unusually warm start for winter, the Washington DC area got hit hard with Winter Storm Jonas bringing in around 3 feet of snow. Our concerts at the Kennedy Center for The National Ballet of Canada’s “The Winter’s Tale” were canceled so instead, we had an impromptu concert featuring the beautiful, multi-talented singer (also a lawyer based in Toronto) Meara Conway and the virtuosic Serbian accordionist Branko Dzinovic. They put on a mesmerizing performance featuring works by Edith Piaf and Kurt Weill, and I even had the chance to perform some Piazzolla with Branko. It was a wonderful weekend filled with lots of beautiful music making and memories.
I can feel the warmth of the atmosphere inside filled with sweet melodies! What winter storm?
